While the environment is the obvious focus— snippets of music, conversations, and funny one-liners—uncove a deeper vein of continuity through audio. The video portrays the recurring theme of "love," heard in the car radio songs and seen in the frames of a couple holding each other on the dunes, as the sun sets behind the mountains. Against the vastness of the park, we all appear as small as toy figures in a giant sandbox. It's funny. Ironically, in documenting this love for each other, the greatest act of love for the land itself is to leave no trace at all. Yet, in this nod to the ethos of the National Parks, the roar of the wind remains as the enduring marker of presence—both as sound in this project and as a constant shifting around us, always.
